“Memorial Day” in Ashgabat

On October 6, Turkmenistan annually commemorates devastating 1948 Ashgabat Earthquake victims and Turkmens fallen on the battlefields of Geoktepe and World War II.

Ceremony at the Memorial Complex “Halk Hakydasy” was attended by H.E. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov, Turkmenistan Government and members of the public, the heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Ashgabat.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Turkmenistan Mr. Konstantine Sabiashvili participated in the “Memorial Day” activities.
