Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze Meets President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov

On 11 December 2025, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, met with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan thanked the Prime Minister of Georgia for participating in the International Forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust.

 

The parties discussed the political and economic relations between the two countries. Special attention was paid to deepening cooperation in the transit and logistics sector, including the potential to attract additional cargo from Central Asia to Georgia’s seaports via the Middle Corridor.
 
The Prime Minister expressed Georgia’s readiness to facilitate the transportation of Turkmen gas through Georgian territory.
 
Irakli Kobakhidze also thanked the President of Turkmenistan for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as its policy of non-recognition of the occupied territories.
 
The parties expressed their readiness to deepen cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
 
At the conclusion of the meeting, Irakli Kobakhidze invited Serdar Berdimuhamedow to pay an official visit to Georgia.
