Within the framework of a working visit to Ashgabat, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Alexander Khvtisiashvili and the Deputy Head of the Government Administration, Ilia Shamugia, held meetings with the Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengaz," Batyr Amanov, the Deputy Chairman of "Türkmennebit," Batyr Jumayev, and the Minister of Energy, Annageldi Saparov.
 
During the meetings, the sides emphasized the high level of existing political dialogue between the two countries and discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation.
 
Special focus was placed on the importance of deepening collaboration in regional connectivity and the energy sector, including the development of transit opportunities via Georgia's territory.
 
The meetings were also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Turkmenistan, Konstantine Sabiashvili.
