Georgia–Turkmenistan Business Forum Held

On July 16, 2026, a bilateral Business Forum was held with the aim of deepening bilateral economic relations between Georgia and Turkmenistan and enhancing cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.

The event was officially opened by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

In their remarks, the leaders underscored the close partnership between the two countries and the high-level political dialogue, which provide a solid foundation for the further expansion of trade and economic ties.

The Forum participants, including representatives of government agencies, the diplomatic corps and the private sector of both countries, discussed in detail the bilateral economic potential and ways to fully realize it.

Particular attention was devoted to strengthening cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics, ensuring the efficient use of regional transit corridors, and implementing joint infrastructure projects.

Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed investment opportunities and such priority areas as energy, industry, trade and tourism. Full readiness was expressed to facilitate the establishment of direct business contacts between Georgian and Turkmen companies and to provide further support for such cooperation.

At the conclusion of the event, the parties once again reaffirmed their commitment to continuing active cooperation, which will significantly contribute to the further strengthening of the friendly and strategic relations between the two countries.

Following the opening of the Business Forum, the Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of Turkmenistan toured the exhibition of Turkmen products.
